Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients are considered to be "hazardous waste". These products contain harmful ingredients that require special care when disposed of to help protect human health and the quality of the environment. Below is a list of the most common household hazardous materials.
The city organizes household hazardous waste events throughout the year for residents to drop off their hazardous waste and select electronics at no cost to them. We also have a shredding truck on site for residents to shred sensitive documents.
The 2026 events will be held on the following dates:
Sunday, January 11
Sunday, May 3
Sunday, September 13
The events will be held at 40 Street & Chase Avenue, in the parking lot behind the bank.
