The City of Miami Beach has partnered with Florida International University (FIU) to launch an inspirational resilience vision campaign. This initiative imagines what Miami Beach could look like in the year 2070, focusing on long-term adaptation to sea level rise and climate change. The workshop is designed to inspire community engagement and forward-thinking urban planning.
The virtual event showcased architectural renderings of historic neighborhoods by FIU students who were asked to imagine a future that will be shaped by climate change, sea level rise, sustainability, and innovation. Following brief presentations, guests were asked to engage with the student images and then invited to share their overall impressions in small breakout groups.
