Loggerhead, Green Turtle, and Leatherbacks come to our beaches every year to lay their eggs. All three of these species are protected by state law which is why it's important that we work together as a community to help our marine friends. Sea turtle season begins earlier in Miami Beach to account for earlier Leatherback nesting season. International Coastal Cleanup

September 19 - November 1

The City of Miami Beach invites you to join the Ocean Conservancy and VolunteerCleanup.org in safely celebrating the 2020 International Coastal Cleanup (ICC). To ensure the safety of all participants, VolunteerCleanup.org will host a cleanup season from September 19th-November 1st. Participants can participate in two different ways: joining in a small scheduled cleanup or carrying out their own solo clean up.
